Sunday morning. Clouds and Drizzling in PA, NY, CT, RI & NJ now... Next few frames will tell us what it does

.
.
Sunday afternoon starting to go OTS from North Carolina

Edit: GFS says Sandy goes fishing again. I think its having a problem seeing something. So just some rain from this run, no big storm.

NWS Albany.

WE WENT WITH HPC SOLUTION.

THE HPC SOLUTION AT THE MOMENT WOULD BRING IT INTO SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND AS A REASONABLE COMPROMISE WITH ALL THE POSSIBLE
VARIATIONS.. THUS...THE CONFIDENCE IN A BIG STORM BRINGING A LOT OF
RAIN TO OUR REGION IS STILL ON THE LOW SIDE BUT INCREASING. ALTHOUGH
IT IS DIFFICULT TO PREDICT ATTM JUST HOW MUCH RAIN WE WILL
RECEIVE...IT LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY GOOD BET SOME RAIN WILL FALL AND
SINCE THE STORM ULTIMATELY GETS "CAPTURED" BY ALL MODELS...IT WILL
BE SLOW TO EXIT OUR REGION

This storm is going to be incredibly weak, in the extremely rare chance that it comes anywhere near CT. Hardly any rain or wind, even.

One good thing is that most of the leaves are already off the trees (at least around me). Getting the feeling that the worst of this will be along the coast, mostly due to storm surge and the high tides.

Fairly interesting comment in the NWS Taunton narrative about Sandy--

"BUT AM HESITANT TO BUY INTO THE MAJORITY OF SOLNS...THE STORM IS
TAKING ON A HISTORICAL PRECEDENT COMPARED TO THE CLIMATOLOGY OF
OTHER POST-TROPICAL SYSTEMS DURING THE AUTUMN MONTHS."

Sandy has strengthened to 85mph and Pressure has dropped to 968mb. It is rapidly strengthening & I personally think it can easily get to CAT 2 status at least. Its cloud field is Large.

You want to see how far off the Euro and GFS are? EURO in Red, GFS in Green. If you want a middle solution which sometimes is the case, CT and RI are in the middle.

I'm looking at the current maps out there right now, there is so much blocking in the Atlantic that Sandy cannot go out there. Its pretty amazing what is happening for this to happen.
