Euro says no 90s north of Baltimore next 10 days. GFS says chance around 23rd.

Here's Northern CT data from Euro00z. Do the temps look like mid summer? (column under 2M temps). After Monday mid 80s will be hard to come by.

Look at the dewpoints Tuesday. Ugh.

Even this morning it's fairly "ugh" out there. Dewpoints must have risen overnight because it was so dry and breezy last evening.

What a pattern. A few days of heat/humidity to start the week then it cools off late week into the weekend. Starting to look like next weekend will another gorgeous weekend. Almost 2 months of great weekend weather?

While I'm still not 100% convinced that nighttime lows have not been going up in recent years, in another forum outside of C-D someone countered me with this interesting stat. It uses Central Park, but is the 5 longest streaks of nighttime lows being 70 or over (no not dewpoints staying 70 or over but the 2013 entry in this list kind of reflects that too). Though all of the years are after 1980, there's no clear pattern (like that it's all in the last 5-10 years):

LENGTHIEST STREAKS OF 70-DEGREE LOWS
# of Days Year Date Range
22 2010 July 4-25 22
22 1980 July 25 - August 15 21
21 1988 July 29 - August 18 19
19 2013 June 23 - July 11 18
18 1995 July 19 - August 5

CPK is currently on a streak of 6 straight days (though all of the lows barely cracked 70, all 71 or 72), but it will likely end with the cold front later this week and not match this list. Interestingly, there has not been a low temperature above 72 this July (which is only about 3-5 degrees above normal), but as noted for BDR we have also lacked below normal lows (except a day or two around July 4).

I quickly put this together. Not sure if it helps you. It's a look at the average low temp per year on record. Ignore 2014 data since we're not done yet.

So out of 12 days in July, Bridgeport only had 1 day mean temp below normal!

NYC, Islip both had 3.
Boston 4.
Hartford(BDL) with 2.

Come on BDR. What's with the numbers there. Gees.

Feels like soup outside now.

Its a bit humid today but I barely broke 80 yesterday and still below 80 today. Definitely not that sticky as a result.

Duluth Minnesota normal max temp today is 76°F. They are currently(1pm) at 58°F with Light rain and winds from the North. Feels like October there. Why can't CT ever be in the 50s in mid July? LOL
