Models are never in agreement with a storm 5 days out.. Possible scenarios ...thats about it.

Just looked at the GFS... agrees with EURO. Snowstorm. Forecasting nightmare since its a busy travel day! What do you forecast without fear and hype? Canadian also says snow but only 1-3".

Don't ask how much yet or exact times!

"right now" looks like Wednesday morning is the best travel time but pressure will be on as the moisture/snow moves up the coast. If Euro shows the same amount I might start a thread for it.

I know Cambium started a thread on the possible snow and I posted it there but I will here. I'm not sure if this site I follow on FB is one of those "overactive teenagers" we've talked about but here goes.....

Actually, I think this one (East Coast Weather Watch) is the "teenager". Only shows the most southerwestern part of CT (I think he's based in Philly), but you get the idea. Climatology tells me this scenario is unlikely (there have been 4 significant Thanksgiving snowstorms in NYC and CT since the late 1800s as far as I know.....in 1898, 1938, 1971 and 1989.....the first two were over a foot everywhere, 1971 was a mix along the coast with little or no accumulation but up to 2 ft. not too far inland, and 1989 was a few inches....I only remember '89 as I was a toddler in '71), but who knows. I also find 8+ inches south of Philly into Virginia quite unlikely this "early".

I'm not cross-posting this one in the "snowstorm" thread:

So how do you feel Bridgeport? You and Nantucket have the highest minimum temp in the East north of Florida excluding the immediate Mid Atlantic coast.

A look at the lowest temp this season so far. Nantucket & Bridgeport low of 23°. NYC 22. Atlanta 21. Birmingham 20°

Partially frozen for WI according to Cambium's map. Lowest air temp so far this Fall in the state has been -15F in Phillips, Price County.
Interesting how Fryeburg, ME -7F sticks out on the map.
