Talking about Capitalism -- what capitalism do we have? Our Govt regulates everything, and controls most industries.

We're very far from having a bare-knuckles, pure Capitalism. If anything, we've gone too much into the other direction -- curtailing of freedom, and expanding Socialism. Forced busing is another form of wealth re-distribution. Same-old, same-old.

I don't know where this busing conversation is going... looks like everyone here agrees forcing people to bus out of their neighborhood school is no solution for anyone. We've tackled busing, we've tackled charters, any other controversial topics in education we can discuss aside from each other?

The busing convo isn't going anywhere. Not many want it, one way or the other. Busing, property values, the dangers of "integration," and overcrowding tend to be the calling card of the malicious cowards to rile up the concerned.
