6:30pm Map. Lots of boxes.

Thin Yellow box = ThunderStorm Warnings. From Vermont/Canadian border into Ohio. The other boxes are potential for severe weather coming.

Line of storms ahead of the cold front. Come on cold front!

Nasty evening for some folks. Quick 30 minute Torrential downpours under that line causing flooding in spots. Warnings all along that line

I was at the boat club and was watching it roll in, my phone beeped exactly 7 times while sitting on the porch with warnings, the next thing I knew it looked like a sand storm was rolling in with dust and debris from everywhere... and it hit hard, wind ripped a few flags off of some boats, I've never seen anything like it!! Sat inside watching the chaos.

Any severe weather in Connecticut? I'm guessing the line fell apart here. I didn't see or hear anything last night. New Hampshire DOT reported severe weather in their district, with a few road closures, downed trees and wires, etc.

National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
1026 PM EDT Fri May 4 2018

A cold front sweeps across Southern New England tonight with
showers and a couple of thunderstorms ahead of it. Strong west
to northwest winds follow the front. High pressure builds over
the region Saturday bringing fair dry seasonable weather.

1030pm update...
As expected the combination of marine influenced airmass and
some localized drier air across portions of W MA. While shear
and modest upper lvl instability remains, and some cells are
trying to organize, the bulk of the activity is expected to
continue to wane. The severe watch was dropped as a result.
Remnant convection will be handled mainly with SPS and the
ongoing wind advisory.

How do you guys feel this morning after this front came through.

I didn't expect it so was using my camera. Listen to the 1st 30 seconds how calm and quiet it was... Then starting at 30 seconds the trees weren't moving yet and the sound was getting louder. Sounded like a highway. I heard it coming from miles away. It was moving at 60mph. This is facing North

Not the best storm video but watch in HD.
