Check out the swath of snow across central U.S this morning.

Rainfall totals last week. 5 days worth. A lot of locations got 3"+ bringing our deficit back to near normal for the past 1-2-3-4 months. No more drought! lol

Boring weather pattern coming up. No coastal storm being shown past 2 days. If I don't give an update that means there is nothing to update. Jet stream dipping in central U.S. Lucky them.

The Jet stream is too far north in the east for a coastal storm to develop. That's one change that happened which models are picking up now 5-7 days out.

Brookhaven and Westhampton Long Island reporting Thunderstorm this morning. Temp around 60°F.

Rain clipping SouthEastern CT/Southern Rhode Island.

I need to do something outside so I do not want rain today. Thanks.

A "shot" of cold is all I'm seeing. No cold pattern. These clouds are killing me! The warmth is getting annoying.

Where would you rather be this morning October 24, 2020?

12° in North Dakota?
Teens and Clear skies in Iowa?
Snow and 20s in South Dakota?
30s and Clear skies in Illinois?
40s and light rain in PA?
60s and cloudy in Connecticut?

Endless days of clouds, on off mist or drizzle and warmth. Just miserable. What happened to that great September we had? This better change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the current pattern and set up. We are basically wedged between that annoying SouthEast ridge and the cold trough and aside from tomorrow being an awesome fall day, the misery returns and moisture/clouds will continue to ride on top of the that ridge..

At least we're not inside it though like Summer usually is. Naturally fronts are stronger and the top of it is pushed south more. We just need it to push south of us so we can experience the chill

WOW with the 12z runs today. Still likely going to be a rain storm but the EURO and GEM just took a big step towards the GFS.
