A lot fell here in Cheshire. A real lot.

1.3 inches at Hartford-Brainard so far. Doubt the Connecticut rises any. One could easily have walked across with tall rubber boots yesterday (September 29th). I was on the Amtrak/CT Rail bridge between Windsor Locks and Enfield. Crossing the Farmington in Windsor was nearly the same thing.

Yup. September will no longer look dry when looking back. Over 3" this month for me. Grass is back to lushness

Some good totals for Western half of CT past 24hrs. Some spots over 2"! I'll take my inch and run. 1" in 24hrs is great!

Managed to pick up slightly over 2". Clawed back a bit of the deficit but the damage is already done, no going back

Yesterday helped, but it is still dusty and dry in Hartford County. Here's hoping for a nice snowpack this winter!

Someone said to me "It got chillier" around 2pm vs this morning. I didn't feel it. The temp of near 70F still was warm to me but they were right in one sense........... Check it out..

Interestingly enough the freezing line at 10,000 feet crossed over the area around lunchtime (blues) and also the surface dewpoints dropped into the 40s. THATS WHY he said "it got chilly" he was feeling the drier air. Now I feel it too.

Nice purple colors west of us. Near 20° at 10,000'. That will help the surface stay chilly

Those totals look low to me. I had four inches in my rain gauge after the storm the other night.

Current temps at 10,000 feet over CT are in the 20s. We are north of the Jet stream where the cold air is. These temps at this level doesn't allow the surface to be above normal.

Enjoy Fall this weekend folks!
