Please remind me again why I live in Connecticut specifically and the Northeast in general...

Thanks.

It's still coming down hard. Craziest day we've had weather wise since Isaihas.

Just shoveled for the pup to go out, that stuff is a lot heavier than it was last night, which means I'm also breaking out the Roof Rake.

Light drizzle overnight did it. Otherwise the storm itself was light and fluffy. Storm is less than 100 miles off the NJ coast still.

Let me grab some local reports. Here's from the Climo sites.

Snowfall total reports from CT. Keep in mind with the winds it was hard to measure. You had to measure 3 spots and get an average but some probably just measured a drift.

Either way... Impressive totals across the board! You have to see NJ, PA, NY here.

Luckily the snow generally stayed light and fluffy here in the hills of Hartford County. Clearing was a breeze considering it was 8-10". That was a great storm, much needed for this appreciator of winter

Well that was fun. We got to chat in a thread for a couple of days and Cam was excited.

When does it melt?

I'll clarify those totals a bit for my area in Wallingford. I went out at about 4pm to do a first pass, it was a consistent 10-12”. Wake up this morning and it looks like I never cleared. Total for me is 18-20” based on my measurements this morning compared to yesterday. No rain it was all snow and wind, fluffy and powdery which kinda stinks for sledding and outdoor play for the kids.
