Late to the party. Hurricanes and tropical storms seem to be becoming more and more a threat in CT. I'm from western Massachusetts. We often used Bradley Airport in CT. Closer than Boston. Springfield, Massachusetts, where I grew up, is 10 minutes from the Connecticut LIne. i loved to fish for catfish in Freshwater Pond in Enfield.

CT weather: I am now in Polynesia, and prefer it. The winters are not so hard to take here. I'm very fond of Niantic. So pretty, over that way. Wifey used to like to go out on the boats to get bluefish, but sadly, the bluefish are all fished-out of Long Island Sound.

CT summers can be sticky. Winters cold. But if it's at least 40 degrees, I'd be at the pond, with my line in the water. Here on Oahu, there's just no freshwater fishing at all. For those who enjoy four seasons, but don't want the chill of Burlington or Sherbrooke or Montreal or Quebec City, Connecticut is just fine.

This has been the most boring winter ever. I have given up all hope for snow and have turned my attention towards spring prep at home.

Wasn't march 2022 colder than December 2021. March has not been spring like these past few years it feels like

Crazy. I’m about 25 miles north of Tucson, AZ now, and we expect a high of 45 today, 55, tomorrow, and then 42 on Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday mornings should be in the 20s. A former CT neighbor texted the other day that it was warmer there than here. It’s been a chilly, wet winter, and we’re hoping for lots of wildflowers in the spring.

Yup.. Jet stream dipping in the west so areas of the SouthWest are colder than areas in the Northeast.

No but close! Here's a look at the Mean MAX temps for BDR...

Mean Max for March is 47.4°, December is 43.8°

Colder in March than December in 2016, 2015, 2013, 2007, 2002. Very close other years.
