Eversource said it has secured more than 300 line crews and 250 tree crews in Connecticut currently with another 620 line crews to be here before the storm's start on Sunday. The company also said it is working to obtain help from mid-Atlantic states. Eversource is working on bringing in up to 4,000 crews, a record for the company, said Nolan.

After the mess they made with Isaias, Eversource knows it better be fully prepared for this or they are going to be facing really stiff fines or worse. I heard that some legislators were even talking about a breakup of the mammoth utility. Quite frankly I don’t think Northeast Utilities and NSTAR should have been allowed to merge in the first place. Bigger is never better and their response to Isaias proved it. Jay

Yikes! I'd definitely leave Saturday night. I'm leaving from the Hartford area so I think I'll be ok for Sunday morning... but hopefully I'll be all packed by tomorrow afternoon.

I think the bigger issue is when it’s hitting Long Island and if you have enough time to make it to there.

Me, too, just a function of how many hours in advance they put us in cone. 11pm is usually a storm reading time for NWS, btw.

iPhone. Go to Notofications, scroll to the bottom. Under Government Alerts select Emergency Alerts. Switch Always Alert to Off and they won’t come through when your phone is in Silent mode.

I get why they do it, but IMO they should only be for imminent threats.

Then it would go off every time Lamont made a decision.
