I would support Officer Wilson and the P.D. for bringing civil and criminal charges against all those who gave false "witness" testimony to the media, police, and GJ. If people understood there is value in speaking the truth there would have been no need to have GJ or several investigations. In the short term the taxpayers as well as Officer Wilson lost, but in the long term, it would have cost a ton to keep that thug in prison for the rest of his miserable life. We should not be held hostage to people like that.
Google Twana Brawley.... Very famous case in NY, Al Sharpton was heavily involved and the district attorney sued her for false statements, won and she makes incremental payments every once in awhile. She said she was raped by white guys (she is black) then accused the district attorney for being racist (he uncovered her lie, rape never happened).
I like Charles but I'm not surprised. You have to understand something, most black athletes(especially superstars like Charles) are put on a pedestal by white people from a very early age because of their talent/potential. All the white girls want to date them, all the white guys wanna be their friend, older white guys want to coach them/get them to go to their school etc. To put it simply, they're not really exposed to the same everyday racism that the average black person has to go through. So to expect these people to be understanding of certain issues on race is foolish. "I don't get it man, all the cops I know are friendly and want to take pictures with me."

All decent old chaps as long as they subscribe to the mainstream (anglo) agenda. If you act too black or shall we say urban hip-hop, something that conservative whites have yet to respect, then you get vilified as unacceptable. People like Charles are only looking to score points with a convenient way to dismiss what happened to the Brown family at the hands of police, by criticizing the results of the frustration that had been building for centuries. Its not like Ferguson, Los Angeles or even black people, invented rioting or crime for that matter. Anyone is upset when they are the target of oppression and brutality. Arrogants like Barkley, safely detatched from that reality, usually find it convenient to condescend over those that endure frustration daily.

Hmmm, one wonders if you are for women being able to become police with your attitude. One also wonders if you would feel the same way if a tiny female cop were the one being attacked and used lethal force to protect herself?
I ask because before all the political correctness rubbish of today, and affirmative action that led to unqualified people becoming cops, there use to be a minimum height/weight requirement to even apply. Then there was a rigorous physical exam that needed to be passed. However these things were deemed impediments to women getting hired, so they were scrapped. As a result you now have 99lbs weaklings of either sex that can become cops, paramedics/firefighters under the guise of equality/diversity.
As to not having to use lethal force, how would you have stopped a 6'4" 300lb guy who was attacking you and had attempted to grab your gun

Fine,...than pick an instance to protest where oppression and brutality ACTUALLY happened. Right? Other-wise where is the credibility?
