It has nothing to do with "maternal instinct". Most of these parents don't do this intentionally (although it happens). It is heartbreaking and horrible, and awful in every way. It has nothing to do with this guy's sexuality.

I don't care if they're gay straight, black, white, old, young, male, female, or the kind that can't even figure that out, they deserve a whole lot more than 32 months. More like 32 years. If it was me, they'd get life or the needle.

What does any of this have to do with the sexual orientation of the parents.
What about the other 40 or so times this happens in the country every year? Perhaps we should be like the OP and use that to claim that all straight people are also terrible parents.
