Here we go with the numbers game again... Now they're saying that the community is 50% but the police force is 80% white. More black police officers will magically solve all the problems, as though black police officers are not corrupt and won't gun down their own brothers in the heat of the moment...
So it's ok to execute people who run from the police? You're callous and that's a disgusting statement. Thankfully there aren't more heartless people like you and there's outrage.
By the way, that guy running from the police looked to totally out of shape and easily caught by the officer. No injuries sustained by the officer either.
Maybe next it will be don't jaywalk if you don't want to get shot.
Yeah, that would be a disgusting statement. Nobody made that statement.
What's blowing my mind on this thread is all the people suggesting that unless a citizen is prepared to grovel like a dog, he might get shot and if he does, he deserves it.
People here seem to be under the impression that police can do what they please and you're supposed to just accept it, lest you risk being killed (and would have deserved it!).
Baloney. You run from the police, you get just what you deserve.
Exactly. And what you deserve is to be apprehended, charged with a crime, tried by a jury of your peers and, if found guilty, assessed a reasonable punishment for the crime.
Just up the road from Charleston is Charlotte, the largest city in the Carolinas. There is currently a case in court where a white cop shoots an unarmed Black man in the middle of the might. There is no bystander video. Yet the cop was fired from the police force and charged with murder (or manslaughter, don't remember)

You are as bad as Pete. Since when does one example of a positive, cancel dozens of negatives. And there were witnesses to the killing above. I imagine explaining how or why you shoot someone 12 times was too much for the officers colleagues so they turned State's Witnesses on him. You don't always need video, but it has been a helpful tool don't you think?

And if the cop hadn't shot him as he was running away he'd be alive today.
That's pretty much it. Regardless of any mistakes or poor judgment on the part of the victim, it was ultimately the cop's decision on whether to pull the trigger or not. He bares the responsibility for that decision.
What if you have alzheimers?
Here a cop beats the living **** out of an elderly man who doesn't know what's going on or how to follow the "orders" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnG4kW8xk1Y
It's surreal how people want to seem to live in police state.
Logic won't ever translate with that dude. He only cares that a minority got killed. Makes him giddy.
