And aside from that the teens who were there also said the pool has been open to the public in the past. I don't know that it is true, but I don't see any reason for the guy Lincoln Swift to be lying about it.
Also, many of the teens were invited guests of residents and others were residents.
He wouldn't be more precise because he doesn't know every word he speaks spontaneously will be used by agenda-driven racialists on message boards.

Really ? A pool party with 70-100 kids where the pool wasn't reserved by the host and this guy is saying that the private pool is really "open to the public" ??
The only thing that makes this a story are the actions of Eric Casebolt. Absolutely nothing else about this incident makes it a story. If Casebolt had not been there that day--if that same over-sized, illegal pool party had been broken up by the other police who were there, this would still not be a story.
Nothing makes it a story but the actions of Eric Casebolt. Every other element is irrelevant.

I agree with this. But the subtle nuances are pretty interesting.
Most of us don't live our lives with the knowledge that all our little oddities can suddenly burst forth onto the news or in public. MakeItClap, Dime Girls, what we did on spring break in college, words we type on "anonymous" internet forums, tweets, you name it - it can all come out, and not many of us could withstand the scrutiny of strangers.

Precisely. Where this Lashauna Burks was living a rather private life, she and her daughter have now become major topics in the news... Over a pool party.
He may have. Do you think those were the only words he said at all? The media picks and chooses what to put in a story.

But you seem to state it as if it were fact and not conjecture.

You forgot to add "if it were white kids". That in and of itself if far from irrelevant as skin color clearly made this a story...

That they chose to promote via social media.
