Well... I already posted this in one of the earlier multitude of mj threads on here. This is a victory for employers who don't want stoned employees
Stoner employees
Use more sick time
Have a higher percentage of on the job injuries
Engage in higher theft from employers than non mj using employees ... I've posted up those stats and evidence several times
Employers exchange money for labor. They are entitled to the best work product possible from the employee ... that doesn't happen with people who use pot

ummm yeah.
serious druggies don't use pot because it stays in the system too long. They use cocaine and meth and sleeping pills...will **** clean in 3 days or less and sleeping pills are not illegal. Common knowledge in any industry that routinely tests. Good luck with your narrow minded war on marijuana while you ignore reality.
How can this guy being doing drugs in is "off time" and not show up for work under the influence? Dope stays in your body for days.
While the THC molecule sticks to your fat cells, as it is not as soluble as other substances the intoxicating effects from cannabis last on an average of 1-3 hours. Yes they can last longer, and that obviously can depend on the strain, or how much ingested. Nevertheless, I can assure you that just because I took a few hits off of a bowl last night, I sure as hell am not impaired right now sitting at my desk here at work! It just goes to show how flawed drug testing is! One can drink themselves in a stupor or snort coke on a Friday night (both substances being much more dangerous to the mind and body, and can kill you if you ingest too much at once) and pass a drug test, but oh no, someone smokes a little weed in the privacy of their own home, and isn't hurting anybody....well.... gosh darn we can't have that now!

Or they'll use spice which is the so-called synthetic version of cannabis. A lot more dangerous though. But yeah let's just continue with prohibition, because that will stop people from trying to cop a buzz. If anything it causes more people to seek out alternate more dangerous methods to avoid getting popped for a positive urine test! Sure, even if and when cannabis prohibition is repealed it won't stop those who still look to seek an even stronger high, but what can you do? It still does not justify prohibition, or the costs of enforcing it!
So... now Colorado follows California... Washington ... and Arizona.. all of whom mmj laws in place.. and in each whom were sued by advocates... and lost at their respective supreme courts ....
Emoloyers don't want high employees...where does it stop.. a lille altered.. smoked earlier..
Smoked last night.. umsed heavily yesterday... used in the bathroom five minutes ago...obviously employers want nothing to do with managing this and say... no way ..
Very prudent on their part as vicarious liability for someone who uses mj is vast and serious
Although it is legal here, I wonder if the employee on his application or employee package read there is random drug testing? Would I want an employee working while high? Well, it's Dish Network, not like the guy is doing rocket science. Anyway, I am sure the guy will find employment elsewhere.
The Regan era drug laws. Employee drug testing started in the 80s and grew to what it is now during the 90s.

Then the people should be fired based upon the bad behavior AT WORK, not behavior off hours. People can also drink themselves silly and show up the next day with a hangover- but that's OK because alcohol is legal. If they are not doing the job, then fire them. Otherwise the employer shouldn't have any say in your life outside of work!
