Humans will continue to be faced with aspects of its own insanity until it evolves out of its unconsciousness. Eckhart Tolle is one of the planet's most awakened teachers that shows us a more enlightened way. There are different gradations of human ignorance on this planet (just read the other topics on this forum if you need to be reminded), and those perpetrating this atrocity are some of the most unconscious and violent among us. Yet, how many upstanding, loving parents allow their children to play games that simulate killing others or who watch movies for entertainment that depict extreme violence? Its a national pastime to watch men tackling each other in a game of simulated war, and people en masse are mesmerized by this. Human children have to be taught not to cruelly bully one another. It's not just these jihadists that are dysfunctional and displaying insane behavior, all of humanity is rife with it though the jihadists behavior is very extreme. The answer lies in spiritual awakening, and humanity will continue to have to suffer and live in fear until we understand this.

Intensified aerial campaign? I'll second that!
Support the Kurds and their bid for a nationstate who are probably one of the few sane groups left in the region? I'll third that!
But War? Lets not get dragged into another quagmire in the Middle East which is probably what ISIS is hoping the West will do.
You can't govern and administer the desert in Iraq and Syria unless you prop up a dictator like Saddam or Assad who will inevitably produce detractors (see Saudi Arabia)

We are doing the dirty work and at the same time taking the blame for any and everything that goes wrong. The US should not have troops in the ME unless the Arab states put skin (aka coalition of ground troops) in the game. The terror issue is a policing and security problem and should be treated as such - even if that means deporting thousands of young people.

Don’t bang your head too hard. Borders are NOT closed. That was just for PR. If there were to be another hit squad they wouldn’t start crossing the border now. Get real.

And like others have mentioned, there are already so many radicals already in France as sleeper cells, it's too little too late.

CNN commentator around 5:30pm. Can I say they were Muslims? We don’t have any evidence yet, right?

I thought that was to prevent the jihadists from leaving the country.

Well looks like this was quite a substantial attack. Do we have any idea how many were involved? Sounds like several dozen, which is quite a bit more difficult to pull off than just a couple nut cases like with the other recent attacks.

They are not. Besides, there are plenty of safe houses to lay low.
