Russians aren't just considered white, they are white. They are an eastern European nation that through many centuries expanded eastward all the way to the Pacific, that's why most of their land is in Asia. That being said, many Russians are of Asian races, not European because they annexed conquered territory and people into Russia. There's really nothing odd about it.
Here it is again. Miami must have failed European history and geography.
The jets were not unknown.
They were Russians and Turkey knew they were not a threat to Turkey.
The area where they flew over is a small pointed region so easy to go through it from the air.
Turkey overreacted.
You don't shoot and kill when you clearly know they are not there to pose threat to you.
Maybe US has hand in this to make this a big propaganda.
Your weird fantasy where Russia wants to lose control of its own nuclear devices notwithstanding, you don't appear to understand how nukes work. If a nuclear-armed aircraft is shot down, the nukes don't go off - they just go down with the aircraft. You'd think all the examples of nuclear armed aircraft going down during the Cold War - with no resulting nuclear explosions (Goldsboro ring a bell? How about Palomares? Thule?) would have clued you in to this fact.
Russia can't do squat but complain and make sure its aircraft don't violate Turkish airspace - no matter what fantasies of nuclear disaster you may harbor.
It is foolhardy to assume that because Putin is a rational person he will do diddly squat nothing. He risks appearing weak and losing respect domestically and internationally. Putin whole persona is based on being a strongman restoring the international prestige of Russia and may well decide the risks of not retaliating against Turkey outweighs the risk of a NATO response knowing he can shoot missiles from Russia into Turkey but NATO can't shoot missiles into Russia especially if the media keeps taunting Russia as a paper tiger Turkey Shoots Down a Paper Tiger - WSJ. You cannot remain a leader in Russia if you are perceived as someone weak who lets Russia get pushed around internationally on the world stage. Remember Khrushchev was removed from power because it appeared he backed down to Kennedy during the Cuban missile crisis. Stalin is still favorably viewed of my a majority of Russians because during his reign Russia was elevated to a super power not to be messed with internationally.
ridiculous. If russia doesn't want its planes shot down, it shouldn't constantly fly in turkish airspace. Turkey gave countless warnings to russia to stop invading turkish airspace. Today russia paid a price for its aggression.
Russia owes turkey an apology, and should leave syria. It will never happen, though, not with the barbaric putin in charge.
Here it is again. Miami must have failed European history and geography.
What is even more complex, Russians have two different words when they refer to the whole population of Russian Federation, including Asian ethnicities, but they are more specific when they say "Russians," because by this word they mean their own Russian ethnicity.
"Earlier, Mr Erdogan spoke of Turkey's "rage" at Syria's decision to shoot down the F-4 Phantom last Friday and described Syria as a "clear and present threat". "A short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack," he said. "
Ban all muslim countries from Nato.
It's just matter of time when a country becomes terrorist itself and declares war against other religions.
Oh wait, they already did that.
Pakistan almost abolished Hinduism and Buddhism.
Afghanistan rooted out all other religions.
...
Russia can't do squat? Right, and then they sent troops and aircraft into Syria and starting bombing.
So much for squat.
