I thought combat should be open to all that qualifies regardless of gender. It's like tech jobs today, it's always been open to women just few are able to make it.

If that's true how do men in co-ed colleges ever manage to graduate, how do women and men function in the same office? Not sure where you dug up your data, but here's some that is sourced:

They gave these to 283 college students, divided into three groups, and asked them to press and record each time they thought about sex, or food, or sleep. If you were asked to record every time you thought about sex during the day, how many times do you think you would admit to it? Using this method they found that the average man in their study had 19 thoughts about sex a day. This was more than the women in their study – who had about 10 thoughts a day. However, the men also had more thoughts about food and sleep, suggesting perhaps that men are more prone to indulgent impulses in general. Or they are more likely to decide to count any vague feeling as a thought. Or some combination of both.
You don't understand. Most women don't. The problem is that women in general tend to believe that men think like they do, but nothing could be further from the truth.

It has nothing to do with appropriate behavior. It has to do with your two son's thinking about boinking sally instead of paying more attention to their job. It has to do with your two sons thinking "I have to save sally from getting shot" while Jon, Tyrone, and Jose are the ones that need help.

Comparing co-ed college or working in a co-ed office to war is absolutely ludicrous. When some kid gets a lower grade because he's putting more effort into flirting with a classmate or staring at some woman's butt than paying attention to some boring lecture, it results in a lower grade. It's not going to cost someone their life. As for co-ed offices go, I've never worked in one of any size where romance wasn't going on, and neither has anyone else. Once again, this may result in less work being accomplished, but it's not going to get anyone killed.

As far as that study goes, there are literally hundreds of studies on this topic with varying results that were conducted in different matters. I've seen the same study that you're talking about. Could be right; could be wrong, but at the end of the day, were talking about testosterone fueled alpha males that tend to be more protective than the average guy with higher sex drives. These guys are more wired like the football players at a college than the kids that came from good families and got good grades in HS.

No, they won't, because just like now, it won't be their children coming home in flag-draped coffins.

They've been KIA'd for a long time... I don't think the general public much cares.

Excuse after excuse.

The haters predicted doom and gloom once gays were allowed to openly serve. Nothing happened.

Same thing here. Nothing to see, move on haters.

I have never known or heard of a woman anywhere in the known universe who believes that men think like a woman.

Beat line of the day....

“I didn’t lose my legs in a bar fight,”

Tammy Duckworth, USA(retired), Purple Heart, Air Medal, Combat Action Badge and member of the U.S. House of the Representatives.

“It’s about damn time,”

Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ) USAF(retired) first woman to fly in combat as pilot of an A-10, and former commader of the 354th Fighter Squadron.

“This change is long overdue,”

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) Major served two tours in Iraq, medical operations specialist.

“I support providing women the opportunity to serve in any capacity, as long as standards are not lowered and it enhances our combat effectiveness,”

Joni Ernst Lt.Col U.S.A, U.S. Senator R-IA

That makes it pretty unanimous for women in the Congress who unlike many of their counter parts and opponents have actually seen combat.

So on the the study of the inferior efficacy of women in combat roles?

Gays should have been allowed from day 1. Acting like women have as much capacity as gays is preposterous.
