Attempts to turn people against police will NOT have a positive impact in our nation. Police and the legal system do have some responsibility, however. Failure to prosecute cops that do go beyond what is neccessary is a BIG problem. If the powers that be would at least acknowledge the wrong being done by police, it would help some. Instead, they continue to deny responsibility, and do not prosecute obvious instances of excessive force- even murder. The attitude of supporting all cops -even if they murder is terrible, but they do it.
"Zero Tolerance" has come to mean, "You have no first amendment protections if your opinions aren't aligned with liberal ideologies."
If the BLM movement ever had a legitimate message (and that's a big 'if'), that message has been completely lost in the cataract of stupidity this group has shown, between burning Baltimore and looting Ferguson and leaving a wake of multi-million destruction in every city where they've had "major protests."
Those cop cars that are outfitted as police interceptors (the Crown Vics and Chevy Malibus) that these idiots love to destroy cost more than $70,000. The government doesn't pay for that; TAXPAYERS pay for that. TAXPAYERS: Those are people with J.O.B.S.
Meanwhile, the blacks in inner-cities (Chicago, Cinicnnatti, Gary, St. Louis, and more) are busy shooting each other every chance they get.
The BLM movement is never going to get real traction until the blacks decide to stop shooting EACH OTHER.
So how about if we paint a picture of blacks assassinating each other on the streets in great numbers? Is that okay? Or maybe a picture of Michael Brown trying to beat the *&#^ of a police officer. Is that okay?
No, because it doesn't fit the liberal ideology.
I'm so sick of this BS. I think it's time to tell the cops, stay out of the neighborhoods where you're so despised. Just stay out.
Actually, the zero tolerance policies I have seen in schools (as a retired principal) were mostly conservative issues that dealt with "law and order".
BLM does have some legitimate concerns. Unfortunately they totally bungled how they have handled their campaign, and as a result, it's pretty much stalled out in terms of "winning hearts and minds", which is what they really need to try to do.
All the people involved in the protests/riots were not members of BLM. So it is inaccurate to say that BLM is responsible for all that damage.
The Cop should be fired. He should not be posting on Facebook or anywhere on social media with his own personal issues related to work place issues.
Lets say he was not a COP, just a plain old Bank employee at JP Morgan and started posting under his real name complaining about the Federal Reserve, how schools treat bank employees, saying SEC is bad mouthing his employer. He would be fired.
I thought you couldn't display a confederate flag, or is it just when a special group wants to ?
It's double standards...
You can be proud to be black.
You can be proud to be Latino.
You can be proud to be whatever it is you're proud of being UNLESS you're proud to be white - then, you're a racist.

Exactly. And how about taking it up with the school? Instead of whining on social media like a teenage girl.
It's like the cop who complained when the mean counter girl at Starbucks wouldn't let him use the bathroom. Does he complain to Starbuck's corporate office? Of course not, whine about it on FB.
