I would not be able to be in the same room as that monster.
Your heart is spewing venom for this person, so you assume there is a world of students who will bleed their hearts for her. What they are going to be bleeding is their wallets. Quite a bit different then venom or bleeding hearts.

Probably they will take the course for what it is, and perhaps because it is an academic requirement.

No, they'll probably take her courses because she's a black woman who spent 20 years in prison. That's what college students admire these days. No doubt her personal story will be mythologized to the point where her son committed suicide and none of it was her fault.

isn't there a famous author who helped kill her friends mother when both children were in their teens?

Yeah, that's "Anne Perry," t/n Juliet Hulme. She writes murder mysteries.

Which in turn leads to "Heavenly Creatures." Amazing.

So she was sentenced to 50 years and served 20.

Interesting that the prosecutor supported her admission to Harvard.

Quote:
There is also Diane Marger Moore, the prosecutor who argued that Ms. Jones receive the maximum sentence two decades ago and is now writing a book about the case.

“Look, as a mother, I thought it was just an awful crime,” said Ms. Marger Moore, now a lawyer at a large firm in Los Angeles. “But what Harvard did is highly inappropriate: I’m the prosecutor, not them. Michelle Jones served her time, and she served a long time, exactly what she deserved. A sentence is a sentence.”

What if Jones had killed Moore's little boy and not her own? I wonder if "as a mother" she would still be so forgiving.

True...the Prison Industrial Complex makes a Business out of ruining the lives of men (for much less than this woman was convicted of).

The Criminal Justice system is truly biased against men (when you look at the stats).

As far as her specific case, I would have to disagree. If there is a God,... is s/he not a forgiving God?

(You're the the one who mentioned Hell, a distinct place where "God" sends people to eternal damnation for their sins). Lets hope for your sake, that there is no such place.

Shame on NYU.
Sounds like a typical young mother (these days).

Who knows, maybe "Casey Anthony" can be admitted to Yale! (after all,...they let Hillary Clinton in).

For which she paid her dues IN THE EYES OF THE LAW. What else do 'you people' (quite a few of these vindictive types on this thread) REALLY want from this person?

How about starting to use some actual brain power here rather than spewing emotional and illogical claptrap?

Some people have strong morals, and for those people, their opinions go beyond just what the law says and does.
