To be honest, I think Taco Bell makes tastier food than several authentic Mexican joints Ive been to here in Phoenix. No joke. But then again there are many Mexican joints here that make Taco Bell taste like sheer garbage.
Bud light is the best selling beer in the US, hence its most favorite. Does favorite/popular equate with best? Not in everyone's book.
In the national fast food realm, Taco Bell does make the majority of its meats and beans on site in each store, so it certainly is fresher than most competitors.
Not surprising I guess since there aren't really that many nationwide Mexican chains.
I'm not really a fan of taco bell myself, I prefer Del Taco , which is similar but the food quality seems better to me. I don't even know if they have Del Taco outside of California though.
It's a free country though and some people get snobby with food. People can eat what they like. Panda Express isn't 'authentic' Chinese food..but I'm sure it's America's most popular Chinese just because they have so many locations.
Taco Bell seems to do good business even in neighborhoods where there are a lot of Mexican restaurants. Price and convenience are big things.
I can see the self anointed food and cultural experts gritting their teeth, but I love Taco Bell and eat there more than at any other Mexican themed restaurant, 'real' or not.
Yeah, that is pretty much the same opinions, I've heard from Mexicans. Most of them like Taco Bell, but they don't consider it to be Mexican food. I can sympathise with the guy in that video, when he ask why do you do this to Mexican food. I think it's the same as when I was in Japan and went to fast food burger places there. They would just mix up American food. I saw one picture of a burger that looked really good, so I ordered it. It turned out to be a burger with pizza sauce on it. Even though I like pizza and I like burgers, that just did not work.

We have Taco Bell in the UK, and it's okay just as McDonalds is okay however if you wanted a really good burger you could go to a more upmarket chain or an independent family business. The same is true of fried chicken, pizza and every other type of such food.

Taco Bell?
No, Taco John's is, IMO, better.
Heck, Taco Treat is better than the Bell, locally at least.
Cafe del Rio is great, but the serving sizes are simply to big for this old body these days.
