If a bird couldn't have put them there, then I move on to another possible explanation; they fell to those ledges from the terrain above.

Yes, they might be doing that.

I think its more likely they have collected enough witnesses to verify his story. Also, apparently her footprints were there which kind of dispels the notion he did away with her before they arrived at the camp.

He must have attracted attention while he was walking/driving(do we know which one?) around looking for her if he was whistling, yelling for her and laying on the horn. If that's all covered it doesn't seem to leave him much time to kill her AND get rid of the body at the camp.

The son mentioned something about gas station video.

It seems LE has verified that she was there.

Quilter chick, I don't think you have to have facebook to view it but here it is:

Update- 11:30am- searchers have located a dog matching the description of the dog that was with missing camper Sheryl Powell. The dog is alive, and was located 2.5 miles from Mrs. Powell’s last known location. Updates to follow.

It doesn't say much in terms of news; only that the dog was found 2.5 mi. from its owner's last known location. It didn't say where the dog was, in terms of terrain. A tantalizing tidbit of info, but no further details.

I wonder if the dog could have led them to her? Maybe it was too weak.

The photos of the helicopters remind me of the search for the hiker on Maui. She said, she could see them searching for her, but wasn't able to flag them down, due to her injuries. She was at the bottom of a ravine, not readily visible.

Yes, and I believe she was a local woman from Asheville NC. She did amazingly well.
