I doubt the plan is really as good as people are saying. They will slip up somewhere and that's how they'll be caught. Criminals are not typically the brightest bulbs in the box except on TV and in movies. It's possible they've already made a mistake that will help authorities catch them
^^^Obviously this is not the case, darn it. I am following this thread because I am anxious to hear when they are caught. So, what is with the address posted? There is no link to confirm, WTH(eck) happened? Fake news again?
All they have to do is move from one BLM site to another, with her buying groceries in a short dark wig. She'd look like any other pudgy menopausal woman (I include myself in that number, unfortunately). Not hard to do... I'm sure she could have bought a camper with cash in anticipation of this.
Not exactly, it's going to be kind of hard to hide a 6'9" man forever.
Even in campsites, someone else is going to always spot a guy that tall.
And I'm sure he doesn't want to go back to jail to serve his 75 year sentence, so he may just take her hostage or have a shootout if/when the cops find out their location.

She used her authority to spring a murderer. She might take hostages too, and shoot anyone who got in the way of their escape. Both know the consequences of getting caught.
I consider both of them extremely dangerous right now.
Every campground in America has probably been alerted to the possibly of them showing up.
6 foot 9 chad wooed officer blondie and despite him being a killer she sees a sweet gentle giant, so now they're on the run. Better love story than Twilight
She would have had to have paid for that vacation rental somehow — and I've never seen an option on a vacation rental site to pay with cash, and you have to give them your name and contact info no matter what. Unless she is somehow using someone else's ID and had CCs in that name, idk. This seems fairly well planned, but I'm wondering what she's using for money. There doesn't seem to be any indication (or maybe I missed it) that she withdraw any large amounts of cash from her bank prior to the escape. Any ATM or CC activity on her part will be noticed immediately.
Could she have bought one of those credit cards where you pre-pay for it? I got one of those when one website only accepted master card and I didn't have one. Maybe you're required to show ID but I imagine she may have been able to get a fake one. She could put anyone's name and address in there for the rental; I'm not sure how they would check. I'm not giving up on this vacation rental idea! (But I'm sure that's totally not what's going on; it's like I said a hair-brained idea).

Oooh--that's another good one (didn't you come up with the wheelchair idea or was that someone else? I thought that was a good idea). But this is coming from the vacation rental lady : ) But I like that idea better. Like, she could have used a fake id for that too, probably didn't go through a real estate agent. If it was in her real name, it would have been easy to turn that up now.
What do you think the odds are that she's dead already?
He's out, he doesn't need her anymore.
I'm sure he got the money, the car etc.
Easier for one person to vanish than two.
At some point, if they manage to stay hidden for years, they're going to need money. Fake IDs might get them some low-paying jobs, but only if the employers don't investigate their faked job resumes. But will they want to slave away at menial jobs? The only other recourse is stealing and bank robbery, maybe.
I doubt the police and FBI will lose interest in this case. I don't see things "calming down" for a long while. The public might soon forget, but not law enforcement.
She's bound to regret this in time (if she's still alive). She traded a decent life and easy retirement for...being on the run with a murderer until she dies. No man is worth that.
