Cry me a river. I’m no Crump fan, but you’d have to have some serious bias in your heart to disagree with his statement. Geez smh

I just read the minimum sentence is 5 years, and up to 99.

I'm hoping she gets at least 20.

I'm thinking her lawyers will try to find a legal error for appealing the verdict. Whether they can find one or not, I don't know.

Crump is a race-baiting fool. This verdict is for Mr. Jean and his family. And them alone. The others (to include violent thugs Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown) had their interests represented by the legal system. Their killers were exonerated by the evidence. Justice doesn't mean getting the outcome that you think is right.

With respect, Rakin, I would suggest that you're off base here and that it's *entirely* legitimate to view this case through the lens of bad shoots, falsified reports, etcetera, that so recently tarnished police reputations nationwide (recalling that Dallas was an early/often participant in the "why are the reports blatantly contradicted by their body cams" bingo), particularly given so many peoples' early rush to justify this shooting on the grounds that she just HAD to shoot "the big scary black guy who was in her apartment when she got home." (and for the record, I'm not saying you made that argument. But I heard it and read it. A lot, along with every effort under the sun by the usual suspects to completely trash his character in order to salvage hers).

She got 10 years.

Media was ranting about 5 years to life but that was never gonna happen since it was assumed the Jury was gonna downgrade it to un-premidated murder (2nd degree murder in most states) which is only 2 to 20 years.

Since it's a 3g offense she has to legally serve half of it before putting a request for parole.

The Cop that shot the chick in Minnesota got 12.5 years

Quote:
In June 2019, Noor was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison.[5] Damond's family brought a civil lawsuit against the City of Minneapolis alleging violation of Damond's civil rights, which the city settled for $US20 million,[6] one of the largest-ever settlements in a suit involving a police killing.[5]
By all accounts Mr. Jeans family should be getting some money also.

She wasn't on the clock so can they even sue the city ? I don't think the city is liable for what you choose to do in your free time unless it's something illegal that they hid/knew about beforehand (like employing someone they know has child porn)

Plus 1. Trayvon Martin was racially profiled and followed. What we don't know is who approached who before the fight ensued. Zimmerman was acquitted because he was losing the fight and shot Martin in self defense.
