Tons of big news today. I love that it looks like the Wayne Avenue project will happen. Also, great to see Tech Town getting another company. They have been doing better lately it seems.

That Wayne Avenue re-use/redevelopment is great news. This "Oregon District Extended" idea City Properties has certainly seems to be common sense, but also creating a connection to Webster Station (which seems to be fading a bit, sorry to say).

Quote:

They really started the renaissance of Louisville,” said Dayton Mayor Nan
Whaley.
....well not quite, and that City Properties was/is part of a larger trend that includes other players with big pockets (as well as a cultural shift toward a preference for city living among Louisvillians) is the one thing that gives me pause of reproducing what happened & is happening in Louisville here in Dayton.

That being said, if they only re-do the building and redevelop that wasteland along Wayne Avenue south of the Dublin Pub that would be a plus...just that would be fine with me.

Good to see other things that will actually happen, but if this one actually does, hell will hath frozen over. You know it's been 20 years of "pass the buck" with the Arcade. It would be great to see something happen, but don't get too overly excited.

Excellent news! I'm just hoping the "answer" doesn't involve whole scale demolition

I agree. I don't mind some, but not all.
