What's the plan, run the traffic through Northpark Plaza? Do these hillbillies on council even think thru things first?

They are so warped up there, it's not even funny. You'd have to use the service road for Northpark to get into it. What are they gonna do, build another multi million dollar street?

Agreed. That site is the dumbest proposal I've heard.

Leadership in Huber Heights has a very bad habit of tooting its own horn the second even a sliver of possibility of economic development happens. Then the developments fall through, making council and the mayor look like jacka$2es.

The "lifestyle center", the Goodsports hotel, the outlet mall, the golf course community (now the site of Carriage Trails), and on and on... horrible track record there.

What do you think UD and Premier will end up doing with the Fairgrounds space? I've heard some chatter of a shady deal, that the whole proposal process was a sham, etc. Either way, I hope something good comes from it.

To use the cliche, haters gonna hate. There aren't a lot of people/places in Dayton that kind of purchase, and UD and Miller-Valentine have a good track record together. It will be interesting to see what happens to the place as the ground was simply bought on spec. It provides the university an opportunity to make long range plans without having to worry about what someone else is going to build there. I will also add that UD and MVH are two things that are keeping Dayton afloat so, if UD did get special consideration, so what? The city knows that UD is not going to develop something that will cast the university, the city, or that plot of land in a negative light.
