My daughter ( age 20 ) is going to her first " bar" tonight with some girlfriends. It's a big country western dance hall ( meat market) and one of the girls is a little older and drinks. I did my best " I trust you , that top is to low cut, blah, blah, blah" speech. I'm excited for her ( I LOVED those places!) and a nervous mom all at the same time. I know it's going to be alright ( and hopefully fun as heck) but still...
As the mother of two girls (who are now in their 40's) I know how hard it can be. And now that my older daughter has three daughters (one teenager and the others almost-teenagers) of her own, she's close to needing group hugs too.
I do too, but I'm not getting one! Since the building caught fire last week, we missed so many hours until I've been busting butt all week to catch up. I WILL take Sunday and Monday off though.
Oh....raising daughters. It is too early in the morning for me to want to even get into THAT conversation. I would rather raise 4 boys than 1 girl....anytime!

Tomorrow-flying to the beach-Emerald Isle,NC.
Can't wait to get there-hate flying nowadays-cramped-getting through security-plus the baggie with all the lotions,gels etc!
Flying really stinks! At least we get to have a great time with our daughter!
This is from last year-the scenery never changes-thank goodness-we have been coming here x 5 years!
