It's raining again here today. It's been raining, off and on, since last Thursday. I certainly picked the right week to take off and relax. Luckily, Queenie isnt bothered by thunder. Some of my previous dogs would have been very distraught by a week's worth of thunder, especially before and after July 4.

I have a feeling that not much will bother Ms. Queenie. She looks like one very comfy pup (they are all pups to me). I as still so thrilled that you two found each other. It does my heart good.....
We've been having rain in north Texas on a regular basis for about 2 weeks. I had to cancel a dentist appt last week due to the torrential downpour. I love it. We are usually in drought conditions this time of year. We seldom get any rain in July. This is amazing and very welcome.
I'm so glad I am retired and don't have to get out in it unless I want to.
I'm going to ask for a camera for my birthday so I can post some pictures . Any suggestions on what kind to get?? I was thinking maybe the Kodak easy share or maybe the Nikon Cool pix...
I'd never had a digital camera until two years ago when a co-worker gave me her old Nikon Coolpix. I'm technologically-challenged but even I was able to follow the instructions and set the program up on my computer very easily. I'd probably never have bought one because I thought they'd be difficult to master but I love mine and cant imagine not having one.
From what I've heard, the Kodak EasyShare would be a good choice too. It all depends on what features you want -- I'm all for anything that's just simple and easy.
OOOOOOOOhhhh, AAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhh, just like they taught us in the 3rd grade! Five point something......I think.

When I was on my knees (wondering whether I should keep going under), the ground rolled back and forth under me several times. Like the rollers under an escalator. Weirdest feeling!

They finally decided it was on the San Jacinto fault, and had nothing to do with the Easter quake. But after the 7.2 in '92, we had aftershocks for 15 years!

I have an HP I've been happy with. Point, shoot, unload to the computer, easy-peasy!
OK. It's now the start of the weekend for me. Time for wine!!
As luck would have it, I got up early to get things posted and get ready to drive all over the place and still get to work on time. Last minute, my son realizes the campus is closed on Friday and we have to go Monday instead. or or beer?
I won't be back until sometime tomorrow after I work in the morning and then run all my silly time consuming errands in the heat.
