I was lucky enough to get my first Covid dose at my local Walgreens today. I was particularly concerned about a possible severe reaction due to my tree nut allergies. If you have ever experienced an Anaphylaxis allergic response - it is scary! Glad I was only 3 miles from home and all went smoothly. I did wait a full 30 minutes after the shot before I got in my car to drive home.

When I went on line and booked an available appointment thru Walgreens, they automatically allowed me to schedule the second shot 29 days from now. So, I am already scheduled to get my second shot at the same pharmacy.

Only surprise was that people scheduling their first dose were given the Pfizer vaccine, while, the limited number of the Moderna vaccine was being used for people getting their second dose when their first dose had been the Moderna vaccine.

Best advice if you get an appointment at Walgreens is to print out their vaccine consent form and fill it out before you arrive at Walgreens for your appointment. The process goes much quicker that way.

DH's second shot went just fine, yesterday 2/24. No side effects at all! Muscle pain in my back is all gone, and it took 4 days to work out of my system. Good Luck to you all!

Just back from Millsboro, for our second shot. So far so good. It did sting a little this time as opposed to last time we didn't even realize it was done. Will keep all posted.

Glad all went well, nuts!! My husband had his second (Moderna) dose today. I thought he said it didn't hurt, but I just asked and he also said it stung. His arm started to hurt a few minutes - not at the vaccination site, but a few inches lower, but it went away over the next hour. He had a 9:20 appointment and so far he's had no reaction.
