No doubt one of these secretive lone wolves!

I hope reporters will focus on the families, victims and safety issues, rather than whatever crackpot loony theories this effing murderer has floating around in his "brain".

Like the poor, lunatics will always be with us. Let's not give them a forum for their spewings.

How to keep mentally unbalanced people from obtaining firearms - that's a worthy discussion.

I wonder what the motive was, if there even was one?

It's been a few years since I've lived in Denver, where exactly is the movie theater? I never went to the Aurora Town Center.
Alameda and 225.

Questions: 1. how was he able to kick in an emergency exit door? Most theater emergency exits are very solid metal doors which are locked from the outside. 2. how was he able to get his hands on tear gas? I thought tear gas was reserved for law enforcement and military. I experienced tear gas in Navy bootcamp in 1990. You can't see and can hardly breath which added to the situation in the theater. 3. Who brings a 3 month old baby to a midnight movie? 4. which employee had the sense enough to pull the fire alarm, if he/she hadn't pulled the alarm the death/wounded number would probably have been higher.

Thank god the bomb he had did not go off it would have been much worse.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their family and friends.

According to witness interviews he didn't kick in the emergency exit door, he bought a ticket, sat by the door then went out of it leaving it propped open.

When he returned, all hell broke loose.

How did he get the tear gas? Who knows! You would be amazed at what can be taken off a military base among other places.

It's just crazy.

There may be other times when I'll agree with you, but this is not one of them.
Even trained LEOs would have little luck heat of the moment. Had it been a shopping center, where the suspect is clearly visible, then it would be a different story.

In this case? No.
