You can also pull up dozens of websites showing the disadvantages of legumes in the modern diet.
Put in the effort to research both sides, not just the side you WANT to believe. Then make an informed decision on what you put in your mouth.
Like I said earlier, there are lots of good things about legumes, but also some things that make me think twice and opt for something else.
Post some links please I would be happy to look at them.
Here are but a few sites that give the nutritional information about this valuable food. Just because cavemen didn't understand to cook them so they did not eat them does not make them a poor food choice.
If you really care, you'll do the research. Just like I did when I came across those articles you posted.
Legumes and their nutritional value has nothing to do with cavemen.

I have no desire to search propaganda Paleo sites. Call me crazy but I want to eat nutritious foods!
Thought provoking yes, however its hardly conclusive nor compelling considering its a biased source. Its affiliated with Cross Fit and his its own agenda. Mainly selling its program.
Whats wrong with potatos aronchick? You have a point with the corn but I think is dariy worse than potatos.I think it has to do with how most of us eat potatos, slathered in butter, sour cream and salt thats bad.I eat plain baked pots with a little sea salt, what wrong with that? The starch in them is not that bad and they are chucked full of vitamins and mins.

Most of the nutritional goodness of potatoes is in the skin. Most people who eat potatoes, don't eat the skin. The starch in the "meat" of the potato is what people need to avoid. And most commercial frozen french fries are ground up semi-cooked starch-added potato mash, formed -with- that extra starch to keep it all from falling apart when you dunk it in a pot of hot grease.
Therefore, it's a good bet to recommend just avoiding potatoes.

I miss potatoes, especially the skins. And I don't mean the ones loaded up with stuff. Just a baked potato, with nearly all the flesh scooped out, the skin side brushed with a little olive oil and sprinkled with cracked pepper and seasalt. Popped back in a hot oven for about 10-15 minutes, until the skins were nearly crunchy. Delish!
My family loves spuds with the skins on, but here in Aus the skins get peeled off and disposed of regularly. It's a nation of chip lovers.
