Read a book called "eat for life " and you will change your whole perspective on dieting following a good plan like a vegetarian plan is a good one . i have eaten more vegetables on this plan than I ever did and have lost 42 lbs to date and am going another 9 lbs which Im sure will be the hardest to get off ...Oh well take care all and hope everyone is succesful with their weight loss .
For me i do running 2-3 times a week and monitor my weight every month. Last month i burn 10lbs. I hope it would continue this coming month. Just with stay the routine.
Haven't posted in awhile here. I have been up and down the last few months. I am 47 lbs. down right now and I am on my 3rd year of doing WW. I have been maintaining a weight loss of 47-50 lbs. the last few months. It's frustrating but I am not giving up. Still not at goal yet but I will be.
I just started last week. Now that I'm not working, I am able to go to meetings. I've done the online version, but I always fell off the wagon after awhile. So far, so good, but I'm having company next week and I like to cook up a storm, so it won't be easy.
I really need to move more, but I don't want to.

You sound like me! I've been doing WW for two years now and I've lost 41 pounds and maintained that loss. But I really need to lose 12 more to be comfortable in my healthy BMI range and I've been stuck there since November. I like WW because you can live by it. It's about changing habits and learning what portion size really is all while exercising.
I stopped and looked at what's going on (other than Girl Scout cookies... because I am *am* counting them. Glad they are almost gone though ). I realized I've been adding a teaspoon of sugar to my tea and I drink about 5, 8, 10 cups of hot tea a day. 1 tsp of sugar is 0 points in WW, so I didn't count it as I drank one cup of tea at a time. But if you add them up, 10 tsp is 5 points (over 1000 calories a week)! That's a lot of points I haven't been counting. I dropped putting sugar in my tea and drink it plain now and I am hoping that "little" change will put me over the plateau.
I think that's the only real fault I find with WW... is that some things can slip though the cracks if you don't look carefully at them.
Good luck with yours! And Good going having done so well!
Im thinking of starting WW for the first time. Im 44 and about to turn 45, in the last year ive gained 15 lbs. Ive always been able to maintain my weight at about 170 my entire adult life then whammo! 15 lbs. so frustrating. Ive tried cutting carbs and fast food for the last 2 months and havent dropped a single pound. Im getting a bit desperate. I really dont have the money to spare but I have to try something to get rid of all this weight. I do NOT enjoy not fitting into all my clothes.
Stylist, if you don't feel you can afford the meetings, there are online forums for Weight Watchers at home. You can get their cookbooks out of the library, and keep yourself to 26 points a day, and you can have an extra 49 points to spread throughout the week.
