I am on a similar diet, although I cant eat high fat either (it makes me sick). At this point, nothing tastes good anymore, and if I eat too much of anything, it makes me really sick to the point of having to throw up. I used to crave a hamburger, but now the thought of one is not appealing at all.

My son is on this diet and has lost some weight. No sugar, no carb diet. I'm giving it a try.

Op how much weight have you lost so far?
I'm on my 2nd week. Down 7 lbs.
The best thing I've noticed...I haven't cooked or eaten anything out of a box, can, package etc..
I feel great. I've also lost my appetite.
My family ordered pizza for dinner..just for sensation I took ONE bite and immediately threw it back on the plate.
Papa Johns has never tasted horrible to me!!!!
I just couldn't eat it.
First time in 2 weeks I poured pumpkin spice creamer in my coffee. .took ONE drink and couldn't finish.
My taste buds have drastically changed.
I feel full ALL the time. No pasta, grains, fruit, sugar.

That one day last week I ate more Carbs and 2 no no foods than I should have, was a real shock to my mouth and mind!!
Keto in 28 is the book I'm following.
Has some great meal planning and recipes.

Totally agree.. You go Keto, you stay keto, otherwise you give your body additional fat by way of carbs, you won't burn existing fat.

You then have to start over.

When I was going hard core low carb (induction), I could enjoy a small hamburger pattie with a small salad on the side. It was the perfect meal. Sometimes, a hamburger on a grilled portobello mushroom and a slice of tomato.
If you aren't tolerating things like this, there might be something else going on.

I am not sure why people think carbs are the culprit. It just doesn't make sense.

It does make sense and it's not a myth, it's science no matter what some people say. Carbs cause blood sugar to rise, which in turn cause insulin levels to go up. Insulin causes the body to store fat, not burn it. It goes a bit deeper than that but that is the gist of it.

Insulin is the key and it is one of the things most people giving diet advice ignore.

Refined carbs are bad. Whole grain carbs are good.

The whole grain discussion is debatable but is off topic. The thread is on a ketogenic diet. The idea behind this diet is to get your body in Ketosis and using ketones instead of glucose as fuel which is not possible eating grains. So as far as this diet goes, a carb is a carb.
