Stevia is not artificial, it's a plant.

I will look more into it and see exactly what it is. I thought it was a sweetner and info on it. I think I might of tasted it but I'm not sure. I remember trying it but I did not like the taste.

Yes, and probably older than the highly hybridized sugar beets that are refined into sugar these days.

But if you don't like the taste, it doesn't do you any good.

If you do like it, that opens up options. You can make a keto cheesecake...

if I am going to have cheesecake once in a blue moon I'm going to have the real thing. I mean once in a blue moon. my opinion though is that dairy is just as bad as sugar other than butter. I think the paleo diet is the healthiest because it eliminates dairy and still has vegetables in it and some fruit. dairy is just as addictive as sugar because of lactose its sugar.

This is the recommended diet for someone with Fatty Liver Disease (non-alcoholic variety):

https://www.healthline.com/health/fatty-liver-diet#

Looking it over, it's a pretty good way of eating for most of us!

PS I don't see cheesecake recommended...ymmv

Stop all binge-eating and overeating, that is a good first step.

Eat a calorie-appropriate diet of the type that works for you. That would mean, you feel good while eating that way and your health, including weight, improves.

I would say eat as little junk as possible. Ditch caloric beverages, ditch snacking, eat however many meals a day you have chosen for your way of eating and nothing else.

I'm overweight and never snacked. I only ate two times a day.im not a soda drinker I drank water and coffee. Having fatty liver makes weight loss harder. I have to be a food Nazi I know this. I'm down to 219 I feel better more importantly and don't crave all the bad foods like bread and rice and sweets.nutrition is number one and grains have very little and are unnecessary. Some have to try harder . I'm satiated with the meat I'm eating and it's nutrition.

I went to my doctor she did not ask me what I did to lose weight but just said keep doing what I'm doing. I'm wondering if doctors are not allowed to approve different diets. My triglycerides were high and have high remnant cholesterol. The other formula they use for cardiac risk was good.

I heard a doctor that puts his fatty liver patients on only 1500 calorie diet because that's what it takes sometimes for them to lose weight .

Yeah I was pretty specific about that earlier on in the thread. The person you're responding to is not interested in doing what's healthiest, given his disease. He'll eat what he wants, and justify it. Either he's making all this up to get attention, or he's seriously ignoring the fact that he has a disease, and he'll get sicker eating things he shouldn't eat.

It's a lesson in futility to try and help people like that.

Maybe post an example of a complete day of eating.

Consistency is very important also, day to day, week to week, and so on!
