I guess because you actually see a doctor they can bill the insurance which the nutritionist or nurses can't
At any rate I'm happy with arrangement
Dr Castoreno has. Will be going back each week until I reach my goal weight
Already lost 16 pounds in 4 weeks plus diet and exercise

Skip the drugs. Continue a reasonable diet and exercise --- for the rest of your life.

Default You can do it yourself at a fraction of the cost

Those prices are outrageous, Instead I went to a Naturopath doctor, so my insurance covered the visit. She prescribed me vitamin B -12 injections, that were made up by a compounding pharmacy. It cost me 55.00 for a 3 month supply. I then took it into a local office and they charged me 10.00 to give me the shot, and also instructed me on how to give the shots to my self or I could bring someone into the office and they would teach them. The needle is a size 28 so it is very tiny, and only 1/2 inch long. so you hardly feel it even go in.

She just prescribed me the Lipotropic, to mix with the vitamin B shot, which was only 65.00 for aprox 10 injections. The pharmacy forgot to send the syringes, so I haven't got to try it yet, hopefully I will get them tomorrow, Here's to hopefully losing 50lbs. wish me luck!!

Congratulations on your weight loss, vitamin b-12 and the vitamins in lipotropic are good for you and they support your liver, which is very important during weight loss.

Vitamin B12 does not cause weight loss. Unless you are deficient, you do not need it.

"Lipotropic" appears to be a mix of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, none of which need to be injected and all of which are found in a healthy diet.

Instead of spending money on an expensive placebo, see a nutritionist, learn how to eat properly, control portions, and exercise. You will lose weight and if you keep at it, you will not regain the lost weight.

I do wish you luck..you're going to need it. You might lose a few pounds but once you stop taking these 'supplements' you're going to balloon right back up to where you were and probably end up even bigger.

Why don't change your lifestyle? It's cheaper, is easier and its a lot more effective as long term weight lose.

If someone sold you b12 shots you are one gullible person. I mean c'mon. Do some research before you open your wallet.

It's much more difficult for people to take personal responsibility for their own health, and much easier to blame it on whatever some snake-oil salesman claims they need.

I started a thread on here somewhere, not long ago about the same exact thing.
I may have experienced somewhat of an appetite decrease, but took the pills for one month, and decided to lose weight the old fashioned way, with healthier eating habits, and exercise.
It sounded very silly to me, and desperate, to go to a doctor for a "magic pill" and to tell me what I already know about cutting back, etc.
