Again Suzy, if you are unable to present a study or experience to the contrary (as in real numbers, not just opinions stated as facts), then you hold very little sway with someone who has used B12 and HCG in the course of losing literally a whole person.
HCG:

ASBP Position On Use of HCG in the Treatment of Obesity | ASBP | Specialists in Bariatric Medicine

"Numerous clinical trials have shown HCG to be ineffectual in producing weight loss. HCG injections can induce a slight increase in muscle mass in androgen-deficient males. The diet used in the Simeons method provides a lower protein intake than is advisable in view of current knowledge and practice. There are few medical literature reports favorable to the Simeons method; the overwhelming majority of medical reports are critical of it. Physicians employing either the HCG or the diet recommended by Simeons may expose themselves to criticism from other physicians, from insurers, or from government bodies."

"It is the position of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians that:

1. The Simeons method for weight loss is not recommended.

2. The Simeons diet is not recommended.

3. The use of HCG for weight loss is not recommended."

With 15 references.

Vitamin B12:

Dietary Supplement Fact Sheet: Vitamin B12 — Health Professional Fact Sheet

95 references. Not a word about B12 causing weight loss or aiding weight loss.

HCG and B12 make handy placebos because they do not cause any problems. Take all you want, if you are willing to pay for the placebo effect.

How many calories did you say you are eating? What are you doing for exercise?

I'm emphasizing a few lines of Suzy's quote, in case the previous poster missed them and tries to nitpick by claiming she only cites two references. Bold+underline is my emphasis:

So there we have it - two data sources, comprising a total of 110 other data sources.

There are a plethora of reputable, non biased, sources that will tell you that B12 is only useful for those deficient in it and that HCG is a scam. I am not going to pull them all up for you. Why don't give us at least one source, non-biased, in support of what you are claiming?

one B12 shot only costs you $12, so if you calculate that for 3 shots per week for 4 months. So that's 48 shot = $576!!! So they are ripping you off!!!!!
Find a reasanable place. For example VitaSurgical Group in DC ( I think they also have 3 other locations). I have been there for a liposuction and will receive B12 shots. This is why I know how much they charge.

How many times does it need to be repeated before it sinks in: B12 shots will do NOTHING for you if you are not deficient in B12. Nothing, Zip, Zero, Zilch, Nada.
If you think you may be deficient go to a REAL doctor and get your blood work done.
These pseudo medical diet storefronts are designed to hoodwink the gullible.

Wow, I don't know where all of you are going, but I paid $60 for my first visit and my shots will be $20 a month. I'm also taking adipex and it's $15 a month. I just started my shots and pills on Monday and I've already lost 6 lbs. Also, the first visit included my first shot plus shots for the month.

You've lost six pounds in 5 days? Here's some possible reasons why:

1. You had your period 6 days ago, plus you stopped eating all week.
2. You've been taking laxitives all week, plus not eating.
3. You've been physically ill, and puking your brains out all week.
4. You are morbidly obese (like those kids on Fat at 15 on TV), have been eating a reduced calorie diet consisting primarily of vegetables and lean proteins, and have been exercising vigorously for at least an hour a day all week long.
5. You moved your scale to another part of the floor, which is tilted, thus giving you an inaccurate reading.
6. You did the first weigh-in after dinner, wearing all your clothes, and did the most recent weigh-in before breakfast, stark naked.
7. Any combination of the above.

Vitamin B has no effect on weight loss. The only thing you might notice, taking vitamin B, is a false sense of increased energy, which might inspire you to hit the gym more.

Adipex is an appetite suppressant. So that means you're not eating as much food. The pill isn't making you lose weight either. But less food IS making you lose weight.

So combine more exercise with less food, and that's why you're losing weight. Since Adipex is only indicated for obesity, and not just a "I need to lose 10 pounds to fit into my bikini" kind of weight-loss, we'll pretend your physician prescribed it appropriately and you're obese. Add obesity with more exercise and less food, and you're losing more weight, than someone who only needs to lose 10 pounds eating less and exercising more will lose.

You can eat less and move more by yourself. You don't need to pay someone to inject you with things you don't need, or give you pills you don't need, to get you to eat less and move more. But kudos to the doctor for roping in another sucker.

Why are you doing this? You can eat less and move more for FREE.

2 months ago I was very unhappy with some weight I had put on - I decided to completely change the way I eat and think about food - forego animal products, eat no refined sugar and not add any added fat or oil to the foods we eat. My husband and I have each lost over 20 lbs. I have learned to cook delicious, healthy meals using a variety of vegetables, fruits, tofu, beans, legumes, nuts, oats, quinoa, seeds, peanut butter, avocado, green smoothies - after a couple of weeks of cleaning out our systems with a very pure diet, we began to have tons of energy. I have dropped 2 pant sizes in 2 months and I am never hungry - never. No shots, no paying anyone hundreds of dollars to help me lose weight. Try it - it works.
