Neighbor dog and our dog just got into a fight. Neighbor is on her way to the ER vet. Our dog - seems - to have a puncture, slight, to her nasal cavity. After all the blood has been cleaned, I can't get a puncture to coagulate within 4 min. Happened about 45 min. ago, cleaned wounds and applying Neo but blood won't stop. Is she in danger or just we just keep cleaning and applying pressure and Neo? Difficult weekend, obviously. Otherwise, all wounds (all around the face but not the eyes) seem superficial. Thoughts or kind suggestions?

Get your dog to the vet. If after 4 minutes of pressure you can't get bleeding to stop, it should be considered serious enough for a vet to assess.
thanks VA-CAT; this is what I'm trying to tell DH -opposite attitudes on pet ownership, to him they are dogs, to me they are family members. I'll go argue w/him now. thanks but have to spread some rep before repping you again.
can't understand why you would even hesitate? You have a family member (your words) bleeding right in front of you, it won't stop, other dog owner has gone to vet, and you are on CD trying to get advice?
If by nasal cavity you mean the black area near the nose, then it takes time to stop bleeding. A few weeks ago, MB attacked PC and left a huge open puncture wound that wouldn't stop bleeding. I called the e vet and they told me it's a sensitive area and they couldn't do much anyway if I brought him in.

CD has been great, that is why. We are very remote and it is sometimes difficult to get real help. I've always found this forum to be of the utmost help, better than surfing around for 30 minutes versus 45 min. to the vet for an anxious trip for the pets for something unnecessary. On CD, I get answers almost immediately. Thanks to all that really helped me out. Yes, I grabbed the car keys and our little girl and told DH, "I'm going".Naturally, we all went.Apparently, the most severe wounds were no more than 2 - 3 millimeters deep and not in significant areas. Our girl left with antibiotics, still bleeding a little (vet said to just continue to apply Neosporin). Vet said that she could use one stitch but only if our girl has a modeling contract in jeapordy; otherwise, not medically quantifiable. Now, here is where I give back to the CD folks: If the punctures to her face would have been within 3 inches and/or on the nostril - problem. Hers are not a problem. So antibiotics it is. Thank you very much to all that positvely contributed. We all appreciate it. She'll be swollen but will be fine. Thank you to all of the helpful folks on CD!
To add: Her opponent ended up in the hospital needing stiches; I'm sick about it but that is what happened. The scrappy fighters will both be fine.
I'm glad the dogs are OK. I guess you can chalk it up to the fact that you're not in the US that the word "lawsuit" didn't have to come up anywhere in your post. Sometimes things just happen and no one is really to blame.
