I have caught a couple dogs that were out running from everyone that was trying to help them by just sitting down not looking directly at them and calling them instead of giving chase like so many do. The one was a beautiful Border collie and she came over and climbed right in my lap and she was shaking as she was so frightened from people chasing her. Her owners were thrilled to get my call!

I keep forgetting that -- thanks, Dash! Sitting down almost always works.

If you know which of several towns in the county to sit down in! Brandy just kept on the move through rail trails and power lines and came out of the woods at night to hit the roads.
She has gained a pound and let Lori out of her sight once- let out a death-defying yowl at that error and Lori came running, Brandy hopped into bed and conked out, Lori near had a heart attack.
Lori's mother followed them to the store today so Lori could go in and buy some necessities while Lori's mother sat with Brandy in the car. That seemed to work.
I think people on Facebook are nudging Lori to admit that Brandy is staying with her. I haven't said anything because that's up to Lori, but it seems pretty obvious that they are both in love.

So how are you doing now that Brandy is found, and most likely, staying with Lori? Have you found your new normal? How are your fur babies doing? Are you looking to adopt again soon? Weren't you having surgery or some medical procedure during this time? Hope you are doing well. Thanks for sharing all the details on your quest to find Brandy.

My house is quite full of adoptees now. I would have taken Brandy if need be, but Lori said she knew as soon as she locked eyes with Brandy at the police station that Brandy was her dog (and likely ran away to look for her). Doesn't Brandy look pretty good for being two weeks after her ordeal? She's a very pretty girl.
