Wow, I can't believe this thread is 5 years old now!! I still remember the day my wife surprised me with Chevy!!! I will never forget the first time I saw that little Corgi face looking out at me from that towel.

He just continues to be a blessing to my wife and I. We love him so much, and he loves us. He's exceptionally sweet and loving even for a Corgi.

5 years is a milestone though! Kinda bittersweet. The last dog I had died right before she was 10. It kinda bothers me that Chevy is getting older even though he's doing great. I want him to live a long and healthy life for sure. It will hurt my wife and I so much when he's gone

But as for now,we're gonna keep on enjoying our time together.

As for the pic,I thought it was great. We do not dress him up in costumes, but my wife thought the necktie for Easter was too good to pass up.

Thanks again for all the awesome replies to this thread!

There is something about a Corgi that just cries out for a necktie.

That's a lovely photo.

Well,it's that time again!!!

My wife and I have had Chevy for 6 years now! It was a Sunday when we got him as well. He continues to be extremely loyal and loving, and still as cute and sweet as ever!

I can't believe Chevy is 6 already. He continues to be a happy and healthy Corgi! We had a slight scare after an extended period of him limping last Summer. The vet diagnosed him with arthritis, but the limping stopped soon after his visit. We feel he was misdiagnosed because the clinic was crazy busy that day. We did start giving him Vetriflex after that though.

As I said last year, the passing of years brings just a little worry to us. Being that a Corgi typically lives 12 to 14 years,Chevy's life may be half gone already. Time flies so fast! We're just going to keep enjoying our time with him as much as possible. He has truly been a blessing to us!

Thanks again for all the awesome replies in this thread!!

Here's a video of Chevy in the snow on his 6th barkday back in February. You get to hear a little country talkin' to boot:

I leave you with a sweet picture of Chevy and my wife Amanda:

Awwww..... I still miss my Corgi. They would literally be the perfect dog if someone could do something about that shedding!
