Obama wins because he won't lose any state that Kerry won in 2004 and Ohio and Florida will go to Obama also. Ohio and Florida are controlled by Republicans who are igniting the Democratic base and turning off independents, that is a formula for success and why Obama will get another four years.

Here's the best option of all the other candidates. People trust him on national security and we haven't had armegeddon as was predicted by the GOP. Plus, this is looking more and more likely to be his opponent.

Obama was losing both in the primary and general prior to the debates. It's interesting how impressions change when you actually hear a candidate express themself and not how his/her opponents characterize them and in Obama's care characature. He's simply the best candidate and I think the right knows that. The right hate Romney and nobody with a nugget of honesty would want Bachman anywhere near the whitehouse.

Agreed. The MSM will do what they did in '08 and attack anyone that opposes The Chosen One. They did more research on Joe the Plumber's past than they did Obama's.

Bachman, Cain, Gingrich, Paul, Romney, Pawlenty, Christie, for starters.

Obama is bad, but it could get worse.

But perhaps I am wrong.

Tell me how. Please be specific.

By the way, I feel that it would take a crop of candidates FAR worse than we have now to find one that would lose to Obama under the above stated conditions.

Most people don't follow politics that closely. After the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF HOURS of political advertisements that will be aired from now until then I think people will vote for any sort of change. (Now where have I heard that word "change" before? )

Hope don't pay the mortgage.
Because most Americans aren't stupid and understand context:

I think it will not be easy for Obama to be re-elected if unemployment stays at 9%. I think it is possible he will be defeated, but I am not willing to bet my life on it. If the economy improves - and there has been some improvement in many sectors - Obama will live in the White House for 4 more years.

People vote their pocketbook. If things seem like the economy is getting better, the "independents" will stick with the incumbent.

In my opinion, there is a hard-core 45% of the voters (die-hard Republicans) that will NEVER vote for him, even if unemployment dropped down to 2% and the US achieves the best economy in it's 235 year history, and by the same token 45% of the voters (die hard Democrats) will vote for him no matter what the unemployment figures or economy does. Elections are really decided by the 10% "swing" vote.

He doesn't, which is why the Left/MSM are in full blown attack mode for any GOP candidate that is doing well in the polls.

There is no way he will win if economic conditions are the same or worse in 2012.

Look at the state/national polling..he is tanking.

The state polls are even worse.

When only 3 in 10 say they will vote for obama....he's in trouble...thank goodness.
