In the limited time humans have been around we have "evolved" considerably.

Is the current theory complete ? No, there are many missing factors.
I think you are confusing the word evolved with adapted in this situation. You think we have evolved? How so? Did we grow an appendage that I am unaware of? Haha, just a joke but hopefully you see my point. Some would say we have actually digressed as if you were to take an adult from today and put him in say the 1600's that this adult would not be able to survive.

Do you not know that Darwin came up with the theory of evolution to refute divine creation. Even he didn't believe in it and that is why he called it a theory. One of the definitions of theory is "abstract thought or speculation".

Oh and while my world travel is somewhat limited, as I have only visited five countries and lived in two, I would hardly call it limited. Thus far I have lived through all or parts of 7 decades (I am 55) and met thousands of people. The only reason some of them believed in evolution was because they were taught that in school. Once I explained to them that it was a theory and not proven then they began to doubt the reality of it. Perhaps you might want to examine your belief in this theory and compare and contrast it with the reality of divine creation

The last thing we need is a right-wing, anti-science, anti-LGBT religious nut as president. I cannot believe that, in 2011, there are still people who believe being gay/lesbian/transgendered is a choice. It isn't. Did you choose to be straight? As a straight man, I know that I couldn't choose to be gay, even if I wanted to. It's the same thing, only in reverse, for my homosexual friends and relatives.

As for it being a "sin" -- so is hatred and bigotry. Besides, god isn't real. The sooner people realize that there is no god, the sooner we can advance as a species. Religions are fairy tales that have no place in government.

Do you have evidence to support this supposition? Regarding your assertion that thinking there is no God will bring about species advance, I would posit the opposite result would occur, and the evidence for this is happening right before our very eyes across the planet, sadly.

black, white...in the time and space continuam...that really has no meaning...for people don't really decide value based on their skin color...

Can we please not argue this issue like it's a fast food happy meal at McDonalds??

Did, or did mankind not inherate a sinful nature?...let's start with that...
(if your a christian, you should know the answer)

I really don't see how a black man can be bigoted, but that's just me. The same way I don't understand some of my homosexual friends making racist comments. The bible has been used by fundamentalist for centuries to oppress groups of people. It was used to justify slavery and now it is used to justify treating homosexuals at second rate citizens. You don't have to like certain people or agree with their choices, but there is no reason such a strong christian should be passing his judgment onto others. I wont vote for him.

In response to 'I don't see how a black man can be bigoted'...

I totally can see how a 'black' man can be bigoted, racist, prejudice, hateful, mean, cruel, nice, kind, loving, funny, odd, and unique...

Again..people must get over this post Atlantic slave trade, civil rights definition of those with African ancestry...biological ancestry, but not cultural...(for the average A-American has more cultural similarities with the British and dutch, than they do African nations)....

Anyways...this assumption that all blacks have experienced the civil rights era and marched, and therefor 'know how it feels to be discriminated against, and if ya know how it feels, why would ya want to inflict such cruelty on others?'

That template is 'dead'...sorry but it is...the civil rights era took place near 40-60 years ago...most who marched are dead or in their 90's...

Alot has changed since then...Most born after that never experienced 'the struggle'....so it's as foriegn to them as it would be to a white kid raised in Madison, WS....

Emphasiss on ones skin color, as being their defining attributes and character, is only a recent phenomina, started by those into the trans atlantic slave trade....they marginalized all induvisual traits of the slaves, and just made them all 'one'...with made up names ect ect...thus the purpose of the slave people wasn't for them to discover their 'new self'...but rather to work without question...from dusk to dawn...

And in order for this to occur, all memories of self had to be wiped out...

Basically turning them into living tools, for the sole purpose of helping plantation turn a profit....

And some still can't let go of that definition of 'blacks' or decendants of slaves...

Herman Cain is an induvisual...he can't help what biological traits he has...
He is what he is...a very successful business man...

He's not confused about who he is, others are confused about who they think he should be, solely based on his biological traits....

Just remember in closing though...redemptive qualities lie in the lord, not in ones color or heritage or shade...

It's time to let go of this post Rosa Parks image of 'blacks'...that wonderful generation is gone forever...and replaced instead by...well....

I gather you live in the north. I live in the south and I assure you people have not gotten over the whole being inslaved. In 1957, the US army had to escort the "Little Rock Nine" to class because the administration would not allow them to be segregated. My grandmother was among the mob of tormentors. There is still extreme racism all over the south.

What I was trying to point out was that I believe minorites should stick together.
