They just believe theft and disregarding property rights is okay as long as it is for their causes. Speaks volumes about their integrity.
He was speaking to different audiences. He never imagined that he would move beyond the district level where his racist jabs worked to win elections. As he grew into a national figure he needed to disavow his checkered past. What worked in the early days at the local level wouldn't work state wide it nationally.
