A budget surplus instead of a massive deficit?

Actually, it's the union slaves who were/are the fools. Most unions were controlled by the mafia for years. Great legacy.

59 is older than 48 for sure.

What's wrong with people having a good retirement? Didn't the state plan ahead and save this money during their career or did the republicpunks rob it to fund one of their tax breaks?

I worked for Enron for 4 years in the 80's. Don't talk to me about pension funds. Ronald Reagan made it possible for companies to steal from their employees and I'm sure State Governments are doing the same thing.

Enron had over a billion dollars in their pension fund in the early 80's. Then they started taking loans against it (thank you Reagan) Then they started taking the cash and putting their inflated stock in there to replace it.

You know you guys are whining and complaining about these pensions when in reality this should be the norm, the standard for all Americans. Why let someone steal your future and then vote for them?

A lot of us are multi-millionaires. My pension fund lump sum will be well over a million when I retire at 59 1/2. That's not even including my 401K
