I think this was an awfully nice gesture by the GOP to bring everyone down from the home to have a good time tonight. I was kind of hoping that they would bring John McCain out so he could again endorse Obama. Mitt Obama. Er, Barack Romney. No, wait, Paul O' Romney. That's it.

Clint Eastwood is a great man, even if his politics are all wrong. Give the man credit, he is not completely off his rocker like Jon Voight.

Either way, whatever his political choices may be, I will always admire him and have greatly enjoyed his work as both an actor and a director.

And, with the cast of losers on stage in Tampa all week, maybe this one speaker was worth a listen (however bizarre his content, still far better than the Ayn Rand disciples and Teabaggers), and this was perfect for Pres. Obama to realize that he has not done all he can do thus far and must work harder. Thanks for the wake up call Clint!

OMG, Clint Eastwood is 82 and an American Hollywood legend. What the heck is wrong with you Libs? I thought he was great, I laughed my ass off at the empty chair and him saying, "No, I can't tell Mitt to do that to himself".

MAKE MY DAY!

God bless Clint Eastwood and God bless America!

He obviously has some age-related issues. Dementia would be my guess.

My favorite movie of his is Gran Torino.

Listen, if I make it to 82 I'll be happy if I just manage not to be soiling my pants. After tonight, the Obama campaign is making 'skid marks' at the very least.

Yes, I'm sure this has them positively terrified.

Well, hopefully Betty White will be at the upcoming convention and show folks how humor is done.

The AP reported that "backstage, stern-faced Romney aides winced at times as Eastwood's remarks stretched on."

One clear moment came when Eastwood went after Obama directly, but it, too, missed. "I never thought it was a good idea for attorneys to be president anyway." (Romney went to Harvard Law School about 20 years before Obama.)

Yes, that is a good one. I hope that he gets some medical help.
