The Target visit was an unannounced visit.

"Never has a Target dash caused such a ruckus. Jennifer Lopez could probably shop at Target without creating a stir equal to that caused by the first lady after she made an unannounced, midafternoon trip Thursday to the mega-retailer in Alexandria, Va."

"No media were allowed in the store without permission, and employees were not allowed to speak with reporters. Television cameras had to get clearance from corporate headquarters even to film outside the store. Once permission was secured to shoot pictures inside, Target allowed filming for no more than 20 minutes, and in only two aisles chosen by the store — and no pictures of cash registers.
Only the store manager was allowed to speak for the company, and only over the telephone.

“It was so quick,” Maria Panagopulos, store manager, told WJLA-TV, which is owned by the parent company of POLITICO." [1]

As I already posted (and linked), Ryan's team got approval for his visit in advance from the woman in charge at the site.

Your own post says they got permission from the corporate office before they could shoot pictures! If they would have denied permission, no photo op could have taken place. Good grief!

Here's what Antal told the Washington Post: Antal, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society in Youngstown, told the Washington Post that the Romney campaign did not ask for permission before entering the soup kitchen. He said he worried his faith-based apolitical organization could lose funding if it appeared the charity favored one of the political candidates.

He's calling the church lay worker a liar? LOL--I don't think I'd go there if I was him. He thinks thats going to HELP dig Ryan out of this mess?

This is getting better by the minute.
Your link is the same exact one I already posted. It seems you have a reading comprehension problem.

"Brian J. Antal, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, said that he was not contacted by the Romney campaign ahead of the Saturday morning visit by Ryan...""

and again, from that same source:

" A staffer was dispatched to the St. Vincent De Paul Society ahead of Ryan’s visit Saturday morning and spoke with a woman in charge on site, who said that it would be fine for the congressman to stop by. The campaign did not contact Antal ahead of the visit.

The woman on site told the Romney staffer that some of the volunteers had already left, but that most were happy to remain until Ryan arrived, according to the aide. After Ryan left the soup kitchen, the woman approached a campaign staffer and expressed gratitude for Ryan’s visit, the aide said."

I have great reading comprehension. Evidently you missed the part about how the person the Romney campaign talked into letting them in was a volunteer--not a person in charge. They showed up without asking for someone in authority, they set up their stuff and started taking pictures, and it sounds like the volunteers had no idea what the heck was going on. I ran non profit agencies for 15 years, and not once during that time did anyone just show up to do something like that without asking to speak to a staff member or someone in charge first--it would be pretty much unheard of. The Ryan campaign just waltzed in and did what they wanted to do, and now they're blaming the volunteers because they didn't take the time to speak to someone who could actually give them permission--again--unbelievable.

Why is that a problem? They couldn't have done it without permission from someone in authority, so they got it from corporate on the spot. The point is that the Ryan campaign didn't bother to talk to anyone in charge--they talked a volunteer into letting them in, and then just started taking pictures. They never bothered to check with someone in charge to see if it was ok or not. They would have been told no if they had checked. Target could have nixed the Obama visit as well, but they didn't.

Default Charity president unhappy about Paul Ryan soup kitchen ‘photo op’

Paul Ryan and family bust into faith based soup kitchen and then act like they are cleaning pots and pans, which apparently were already clean. They stayed long enough for the photo op and then left.

Ryan is a real tool.
