Hillary still comes out on top even if Biden is in the race. Besides, I'm pretty sure she's been preparing for the event that he jumps in, and most voters don't even want him in the race after Hillary's spectacular performance a few days ago. She will not sit by and let 2008 happen to her all over again.

Absolutely NO reason for him to put himself, TeamObama AND his family through that misery unless he is VERY certain that Hillary Clinton is about to withdraw from the race due to some sort of "medical issue". One thing you can take to the Bank - TeamObama knows pretty much what the FBI knows AND they can push the DOJ to downplay it OR expose it all. I'm betting Hillary goes for the "downplay".
Biden: your standard Washington DC insider politician who has been partly responsible for everything that going on in DC. Hillary is likewise responsible as an insider.
Americans are fed up with these types of politicians. That's why Carson, Fiorina are having success at the polls, and Trump too.
Joe is the backup plan for the Democratic establishment if Clinton doesn't shed the Benghazi/Email bruhaha. Bernie can never win in a general election and Democratic political leaders know so. It is noteworthy that none of Obama's money people (bundlers) have come down on Clinton's side. They are all holding back. Some where before the end of October the Democratic Political heads will either go with Clinton or tell Joe he has to run. It's all calculated to bring the candidate with the best chance to beat any Republican the GOP finally end up with. Nothing personal, just political business. If Clinton would have bombed during the debates, Biden would have announced by now. If Goudy and his Committee release more incriminating evidence that goes against Hillary, Joe will step in.
Ironically, the GOP fears Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee and would much rather face Clinton in a general election.

I've posted for months that I thought Joe Biden would declare his candidacy dependent on the FBI investigation. He is privy to what they are doing. He get's in - they are ready to Indict Hillary and willing to "make a deal".
1. Joe Biden is not a stupid man OR a stupid Politician. He has spent his entire adult life in Democratic Politics & he has run for President a couple of times. He KNOWS what is involved and is perfectly aware of the ClintonMachine.
2. The Obama Bundlers and Obama Money supporters have been sitting on the sidelines - 90% of them are un-committed.
3. The relationship between TeamObama and CampClinton have never been good.
4. It's very likely that TeamObama would prefer VP Joe Biden to "protect the Grand Legacy", rather than depend on CampClinton.
5. TeamObama/Joe Biden are almost certain to KNOW what the Clinton Investigations have uncovered. It's pretty much up to the DOJ/Loretta Lynch/WhiteHouse about how they handle it.
6. I've NEVER believed that Joe Biden (I don't think he is stupid) would ever consider going into the Shark Pool of CampClinton without knowing He/TeamObama could force her to exit the race and throw her support to Biden.
7. See item 1 & 5. Vice President Joe Biden only enters this race if he knows Clinton will quit.
Nothing else makes any sense. We have all been a part of a Razzle-Dazzle, well planned Campaign.
We will know shortly one way or the other - unlikely we will get the 'backstory'.
I don't actually expect any "bombs" in the Benghazi Hearing, I do expect that it's the FBI investigations on Foreign Money and Server-Gate that will be important. Benghazi is a whole different deal that involves TeamObama - that won't be easily exposed.

I think you are pretty much on the money with this. Especially the back story part. I suppose if it ever does come out, it will be from archives once these people are long gone.
Hillary doesn't have the Obama "machine" behind her and it clearly shows on the ground where she has trouble putting together ANY rally with more than a few hundred people. If this was a competitive race, she'd be out by now.
