He was for many years one of the most powerful state legislators in the history of our state, a tireless and effective advocate for public education, the environment, and civil rights. He left public office around 2000 and devoted much of his time to pro-bono cases for those causes. It's only because he's been gone awhile that people don't know him. Unfortunately he didn't have the powerful financial backing (Koch and Wilks brothers PACs, Goldman Sachs) that Cruz did and no personal wealth so he had to run a shoestring campaign.

First poll out after SC.

Cruz and Trump are now statistically tied. Cruz is on the way down.

This is what they were talking about on CNN/MSNBC (can't remember which one) last night when they agreed with you. They said Cruz will now be forced to spend more time this week campaigning in Texas playing defense instead of campaigning in the other March 1 states. Not good for him.

The undecideds (8%) are way more than enough to swamp Trump's +2 (not to mention the 2.5 MOE). That's why Ohio's a swing state.

His win was not unexpected in any way and the only importance NV holds might be it is the first western state. Other than that I doubt anyone really cares. In fact until this year I doubt many even knew when their caucus was.

It certainly looks like Trump has the momentum and an edge, but we will certainly know more in a week. If he takes most the states and a majority of the delegates its going to be close to over, if not we still have a race.

Similar on the Democratic side, but the more proportional delegate allocation makes that a tougher task, though a solid victory could make that close to over as well.

I think Trump will beat Clinton. It was not clear in the beginning.
