It would be a guaranteed loss to whoever takes the nomination by that method, and Ryan doesn't need to be on another losing Presidential ticket. His political career would be over.
Ryan is a flim-flam man that pretends to have a serious plan that lowers the deficit but it's really just a masked plan to lower taxes for rich people and slash social programs. His past plans have actually increased deficits but hides those deficits behind absurd economic growth and unemployment estimates and magic asterisks.
Hilarious coming from someone who voted for Obama twice. If anyone ever pretended to have a serious plan, it was Obama.
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye
Hit the road jack and don't you come back....
I agree for the first time ever with "eye state your name" so that has to mean something.
This verifies what many have suspected, one party behind the scenes "THEM".
The GOP insists on running losers which I guess is a compliment to all 3 left on the GOP side since the GOP appears to fear that anyone of them has a good chance of beating the pantsuit off the of the proven liability, Hillary Clinton!
The one thing I'm very sure of is that Paul Ryan would never consider such a thing.
1. He is a man of principle who would not be party to it.
2. It would take some really massive Rules Changes at the GOP Convention & the Head of the Convention would have to decide if the Rules Changes are substantial enough to require a Vote from the Delegates. (they would need a vote). The delegates would not vote in favor of an outsider scooping up the election with no citizen votes, so it could only be done if the head of the Convention decided no vote was needed.
Guess who the Head of the GOP Convention is ........ Paul Ryan.
Former Speaker John Boehner said Paul Ryan should be the Republican nominee for president if the party fails to choose a candidate on the first ballot.
"If we don't have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I'm for none of the above," Boehner said at the Futures Industry Association conference here. "They all had a chance to win. None of them won. So I'm for none of the above. I'm for Paul Ryan to be our nominee."
The GOP is setting records for primary voter participation. Those voters are making it clear who they prefer. For the Pubs to then invalidate the choice of their voters and then toss in a candidate that no one has voted for would be so stupid that I highly doubt that even the GOP would be so dumb.
But it would be entertaining! The ensuing food fight would be epic!
This year's election is an eye opener. It doesn't make too much difference if you are a Democrat or Republican; both Parties are demonstrating voters (the people) do not count - only they have the proper credentials to chose who should govern our Country.
The problem with that is that we have this idea of no taxation without representation. We'll, if we cannot chose who we want to represent us; then there should be no taxation!
WOW !!! That is actually a very powerful statement !!! Hits the mark !!!
If they pull any crap we all stop paying taxes. They will put us all in jail. To do that they would have to build a wall around the country !!!
Hey- not a bad idea !!! Lets have them start at the southern border and get Mexico to pay for it so they can keep all the American criminals confined.
