That is a good question too. The reason they get tax payers to pay for the war is because Both Bush administration and politicians like Hillary Clinton voted yes on Iraq war.

Also, there are tremendous differences between a politician with real power (like a president), and a politician without. So if Bernie becomes president, many WILL change.

People should factor in co-pays, deductibles and (many) being chained to their employer when they think of their current health care costs. Health care should have nothing to do with employment. It is cruel and inhumane. A national health care system brings more power back into the hands of the workers and people are free to strike out on their own and start a business with no worry. It is pro-free enterprise.

Yes they should.

Say if a person makes $40,000 a year, under sander's tax policy, this person would be paying $800 more a year in taxes, but if he is paying $1200/year for medical insurance, he is actually saving money.

You do realize Bernie voted to fund the Iraq war, right? And supported other military action, since Iraq is far from the only vote he's had to cast in his decades in Congress.

Quote:
The so-called “socialist” has voted repeatedly for vast Pentagon appropriations bills, maintaining funding of the wars he was (rhetorically) opposed to, as well as funding for the CIA, NSA and the rest of the vast American intelligence apparatus, the infrastructure for police-state spying against the American people.

well, at least no one can accuse him of being an isolationist. When the war already started, what would you do? He said once, "If you don't want to take care of the wounded veterans, don't start a war." seems reasonable to me. If you don't want the troops over there to win, don't start a war.

I would vote NO to start the stupid war, but I would vote yes to take care of the wounded warrior because of the stupid war too.

same thing. Once the war started, you want your troops to win. That includes funding the war that has already started.

He also wanted to take care of the wounded warriors. he has a conscience in this regard.

common sense stuff, don't start a war if you have no desire to win. Once the war started, fund it, take care of your wounded soldiers. don't like it, don't start it. You break it, you fix it, in this case, you break it, you buy it.

It's a Strawman. The funding isn't separate, it's a part of the budget. So the choices are to either not vote on a budget or vote for some things you don't otherwise support.

So I don't get what you are saying now, you are saying that sanders is just another war hawk? If this is the case, I guess I am not voting for him after all. I am not really excited about him anyway. The only reason I am going for him is because I believe he is the least hawkish, but if this is what you all believe, (he is hawkish that is) then why should I sacrifice my tax dollars for him? lol

You are a weird poster I must say. You seem to be a bernie supporter because you are against war, your posts convinced me. and now this?
