nah, that will be too small.

Plus, let's not pretend the current Republican party is a conservative party. Both parties are for big mega size government. They just push different agenda.

I never understood why this kind of thinking is attributed to liberal platform. If that was true, at least half of the country would be lazy unproductive scum (and that's assuming every single republican is a workaholic, which is not true).

LOL. Homosexual marriage has not affected me in the least. If they want to get marry let them, if you don't want one don't get one.
I believe there are more important issues in our country that who gets married to who? That's none of my business.

I'm not saying it's 100% correct, but the reason this view is held is that liberals support a highly progressive income tax and generous social welfare spending. If you look at the programs that Clinton and Sanders promise, they're largely (if not exclusively) paid for by increasing taxes on a very small percentage of people.

That's one of many reasons I prefer a flat tax over the progressive income tax.

I subscribe to the idea that "For of those to whom much is given, much is required". Isn't it from Luke, and paraphrased by JFK?

My thinking goes somewhat like this: my husband and I make a lot of money (compared to the average American). We make this money because God/nature gave us certain kind of brain and our parents insured we got some education. Therefore, to us "a lot was given". So, I don't mind giving back more than somebody who was not blessed with inclinations towards a profession that just happens to pay well. I don't think them lazy because they became school teachers, while I became a software engineer.

You made this up. How does that affect policy? It's always about policy and the big government tyrannical failed policies of the dems are just that, failures.
